Privacy and third-party services

This is a personal blog hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not ask you to create an account and does not collect personal information directly. It does, however, load a small number of third-party services. This page lists them so you know what runs in your browser.

Third-party services

Google Analytics

Used to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, approximate location). Analytics sets cookies and sends usage data to Google. You can block it with any tracking-protection extension or by declining cookies in your browser; the site works normally without it.

Google AdSense

The site may display at most one advertising unit, below the article body, and only in the production build. There are no auto ads, no page-level ads, no side-rail or sticky ads, and nothing that covers the content. AdSense may set cookies and use data for ad selection and measurement. If the script is blocked, the ad area collapses and nothing else on the page breaks.

Disqus (comments)

Comments are powered by Disqus and are not loaded until you ask for them - either by pressing “Show comments” or by scrolling the comments section into view. Until then, no Disqus request is made. When you post a comment you interact with Disqus directly under Disqus’s own privacy policy.

Your choices

  • Ad blockers and tracking-protection extensions are fully supported; blocking any of the above leaves the site readable and navigable.
  • Comments load only on explicit interaction or when you scroll to them.
  • No personal data is stored by this site in your browser’s local storage.
